Moneglia...
Only 10 minutes from the apartment
Founded in pre-Roman times, Moneglia lies within a wide bay bordered by two headlands, with fortresses perched above the sea. It features the typical houses with colorful facades, overlooking charming sandy beaches, framed by coastal roads and with tunnels that suddenly open onto a vast blue expanse. Its center, once crossed by fishermen and farmers, is split in two by a medieval caruggio.
Besides its seaside beauty, in the nearby hamlets (Bracco, above all) there are several trails and routes for those who want to try trekking. For example the paths to: Monte Moneglia, Monte Lemeglio, Monte Pietra di Vasca, Monte San Nicolao, Val Petronio, etc.).
Also, the town has been a Blue Flag site for decades and is part of the 100 Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.

...Sestri Levante...
Known as “the town of the two Seas”, Sestri Levante is an ancient village linked to the mainland by an isthmus, a thin strip of land, which divides two wonderful Bays: the Bay of Silence (the smallest and most photographed) and the Bay of Fables. It has a typical old town, crossed by a medieval carruggio, dotted with many shops and surrounded by the usual pastel-colored houses (and villas). The wide beaches range from very fine sand (typical of the two Bays and of the hamlet of Renà, in Riva Trigoso) to beaches made of pebbles (like Sant'Anna beach).
On the slopes around Sestri Levante and Riva Trigoso countless trails branch out, for hiking lovers, immersed in nature. For example: the Fico valley (which joins Monte Capenardo), Punta Manara, Punta Baffe, Villa Casaggiori, etc.
Also, for some years now the resort has held the Blue Flag.
30 minutes by train or boat
...the Cinque Terre...
The Cinque Terre National Park is among the smallest in Italy but at the same time the most densely populated, with about 4,000 residents divided into five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Over the years, people have "modified" the natural environment by cutting the steep hillsides to obtain strips of cultivable land, supported by kilometers of dry-stone walls. These five villages, surrounded by nature and the sea, feature a beautiful historic center, made up of small shops and the typical brightly colored Ligurian houses. To reach them easily, it is recommended to use the train or the ferry (departing from Moneglia or Sestri Levante).
A 30-minute drive
...Portofino, San Fruttuoso, Camogli...
Set in the green of the headland and the blue of the marine park, Portofino has always been known as a Jet Set destination. It is a village of very ancient origins, made up of a small historic center and the famous Piazzetta (around which you find the most famous and renowned bars and restaurants). Also renowned for the chance to enjoy countless hikes, with very well-kept trails all along Monte di Portofino.
A little further on we find the village of San Fruttuoso, reachable by a path or by sea, and the village of Camogli, famous for its seafaring roots.

For those who love hiking, trekking and rafting, the Vara Valley is the ideal place to spend a day devoted to sport and nature, thanks to countless trails and rafting activities in Brugnato.
